Azazel: Fantasy Stories by Isaac Asimov
Meet Azazel, a two-centimetre-tall, fiery red imp possessed with an impetuous personality and marvellous magical powers. Able to be summoned at will only by George Bitternut, an eccentric linguist who has stumbled upon the ancient incantations for calling forth demons and spirits, Azazel will not permit his wondrous wizardry to be used for George's personal gain.
He will, however, cast his spells for George's friends when they are in need. The only problem is, this otherworldly miracle worker has little understanding of earthly quirks and human foibles, and his well-intentioned tamperings invariably lead to hilarious and unexpected chaos.
