About the Author
Although Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894) entered Edinburgh University to study engineering, he spent most of his time teaching himself to write in different styles. His dedication to literary diversity certainly paid off: he is the author of such varied offerings as the bold Treasure Island , the whimsical A Child's Garden of Verses , and the science-fiction thriller The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
