A book that has been read but is in good condition. Very minimal damage to the cover, including very minimal scuff marks, but no holes or tears. The majority of pages are undamaged, with very minimal (barely visible) creasing but no tearing (page xiii and the next three pages each have four very small punctures on them; page 3 is scratched at the top. No other punctures or scratches anywhere else in the book). No pencil underlining of text, no highlighting of text, no writing in margins. No missing pages.
